Shopify support
Shopify support and retainers for Australian stores
Someone to call when something breaks, and a steady team to improve the store when it does not. Three plans, month to month, with hours you can plan around.
Right for you if
- Your developer has disappeared and nobody can change the store.
- You launched recently and want help with small changes and updates.
- You want steady improvement in sales, not occasional emergency work.
- You need support around big sale periods such as Black Friday and Boxing Day.
What's included
- A named support channel with replies within one business day (Care)
- App and theme updates checked before they reach your live store
- Uptime and checkout monitoring
- Changes to pages, products, menus, sections and discounts
- Monthly conversion test or improvement (Growth)
- Shopify SEO work: content, collections and technical fixes (Growth)
- Klaviyo flows and campaign builds (Partner)
- Sale planning and a fortnightly call (Partner)
Three plans, month to month
Support plans are simple. You pay a fixed monthly fee for a set number of hours and a defined level of service. You can change plan or stop at any month's end. We do not lock you into a contract, because a plan should keep earning its place.
| Plan | Price (AUD ex GST) | Hours | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Care | $390 a month | 3 hours | Fixes and changes, update checks, uptime and checkout monitoring, reply within one business day |
| Growth | $1,450 a month | 10 hours | Everything in Care, a monthly conversion test or improvement, Shopify SEO and a plain-English report |
| Partner | $2,900 a month | 22 hours | Everything in Growth, plus Klaviyo flows and campaigns, sale planning and a fortnightly call |
Care is for stores that are working and need a safety net. Growth is for stores that want to sell more each month. Partner is for brands that would otherwise hire a full-time ecommerce manager and want a team instead. The right plan depends on how much change your store needs, not on its size.
What support covers day to day
Most requests are small: a banner for a sale, a new collection layout, a discount that does not apply, a shipping rate that is wrong, a product that will not sync. Our job is to handle them quickly and leave the store tidier than we found it.
- Theme and content changes, from adding a section to rebuilding a template
- Bug fixes, including broken forms, cart issues and checkout problems
- App updates and compatibility checks before you hit update
- Adding or removing apps, with cleanup of leftover code
- Shipping, tax and payment setting changes as rules change
- Speed monitoring, with fixes when apps or images slow pages
- Training for new team members
We also keep an eye on things you may not notice. Expired payment methods on apps, redirects that point nowhere, and a shipping rate that has stopped matching Australia Post pricing can all cost sales quietly. Monitoring on every plan helps us catch these.
How support runs
Step 1
Step 1: Onboarding
We review the store, theme, apps and access, and record anything fragile. If we did not build it, we flag cleanup before it becomes expensive.
Step 2
Step 2: Request channel
You send requests by email. We confirm scope and the estimated time before starting anything large.
Step 3
Step 3: Fix and report
Changes are tested on a duplicate theme before going live. You get a note of what changed and how long it took.
Step 4
Step 4: Review
Each month you see hours used and what we recommend next. Growth and Partner plans include a report on sales and conversion work.
Step 5
Step 5: Plan ahead
Before sale periods, we check capacity, speed and stock sync, and prepare banners and email so launch day is calm.
Honest trade-offs
A retainer is not an emergency service. Care replies within one business day, so if your store is down at 9pm on a Friday, you need a different arrangement. We agree urgent contact procedures for larger clients on Partner. Hours also cap what we do each month, and big projects are scoped separately instead of eating the retainer.
If you only need a few changes a year, a retainer may not pay off and you can buy hours as needed. If you sell heavily on sale days, or run a growing store, a plan usually costs less than ad hoc emergency fixes. Compare options on our pricing page, and for improvements that raise sales see Shopify SEO and conversion rate optimisation.
We support stores we did not build. We begin with a short audit, so you know the condition of the theme and apps before committing to a plan.
Pricing and timing
Onboarding in 1 week; ongoing month to month
Support runs on three plans, all month to month and excluding GST: Care at $390 a month for 3 hours, Growth at $1,450 a month for 10 hours, and Partner at $2,900 a month for 22 hours. Builds are priced separately, Launch at $8,900 and Custom at $18,500, and Custom includes 30 days of priority fixes after launch before a plan begins.
Shopify support: common questions
How much does Shopify support cost in Australia?
Our plans are Care at $390 a month, Growth at $1,450 a month and Partner at $2,900 a month, all excluding GST and all month to month.
Can I cancel a support plan at any time?
Yes. Plans run month to month, so you can change or stop at the end of any month.
Do unused hours roll over?
No. Hours reset each month, so choose the plan that fits your regular workload and buy extra hours when you need them.
Will you support a store you did not build?
Yes. We start with a short audit of the theme, apps and settings, then tell you what is fragile or worth cleaning up.
What is the difference between Growth and Care?
Care keeps the store running with 3 hours of changes, update checks and monitoring. Growth gives 10 hours plus a monthly conversion improvement, Shopify SEO work and a report. Growth is for stores aiming to sell more.
Do you offer support during Black Friday?
Yes. Partner includes sale-season planning. On other plans we can prepare the store beforehand and arrange cover. Speak to us well before the sale period.

How much does a Shopify website cost in Australia?
There are two bills: the one to build the store and the one that arrives every month after. Here is how both break down for an Australian brand, in AUD, with the figures we could check and the ones we will not guess at.
