Concept store. Coffee and food, Collingwood
A loud, readable roaster store built around the subscription.

The brief
Second Shift Coffee is a fictional Collingwood roaster, and this store is a concept designed by Laneway Commerce to show our work. It is not a client and we make no claims about results. The imagined brief: a roaster whose revenue rests on repeat orders, with a growing wholesale side, and a need for a store that makes subscribing obvious and wholesale easy without a second website.
Big type, fast product pages
Heavy condensed capitals and a red accent give the brand a bar-room confidence. The homepage hero is type first, with one image, so it loads quickly on mobile. Product pages put grind, size and subscribe-or-once at the top so a regular customer reorders in two taps.
Subscriptions that customers control
Coffee is a repeat purchase, so the selling plan is the default on every bag, with weekly, fortnightly and four-weekly options. Customers can skip, swap or pause from their account. We would use Shopify Subscriptions or Recharge, depending on volume.
Failed-payment emails and a swap-before-shipping reminder run in Klaviyo. See Klaviyo flows for Shopify.
Wholesale and Australian specifics
Cafes get a wholesale login with their own price list and a reorder button for last week's order. See Shopify B2B and wholesale. Retail shipping uses Australia Post parcels and CouriersPlease, with weight bands tuned for 250g and 1kg bags, and GST shows on tax invoices.
